At Horizon International School, we are committed to ensuring that all English Language Learners (ELL) receive the necessary support to thrive in our academic programs. With students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, we recognize that proficiency in English is essential for their success in our International Program and Integrated Bilingual Program. We implement a structured ESL support system based on the WIDA framework to achieve this, ensuring students receive tailored language instruction aligned with international best practices.
All non-native English-speaking students are assessed using the WIDA Model Test upon admission to determine their English proficiency level. Students are placed in the appropriate ESL support tier based on their scores.
