Enrollment Procedure at Horizon International School
At Horizon International School, our enrollment process ensures that every child is placed in an environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We take time to understand each student’s strengths, language needs, and learning profile to provide the most effective support from day one.
📝 1. Application
Submit the Application Form
Begin by submitting a completed Application Form along with the required documents to our Admissions Office. These include:
- Recent school reports or transcripts
- Copy of student’s passport or ID
- Health and vaccination records
- Any supporting documents (standardized test results, certificates, etc.)

🏫 2. Preparation
School Introduction, Admissions Policy & Campus Tour
Once your application is submitted, our admissions team will:
- Provide a detailed introduction to the school’s vision, curriculum, and programs (Cambridge, MOET, OSSD pathways)
- Walk you through the admissions policy and academic expectations
- Offer a guided tour of our boutique campus so you can experience our vibrant learning environment firsthand

🧠 3. Assessment
Admission Testing & Interviews
To ensure appropriate placement and support, each applicant will go through the following assessments:
- 📝 WIDA Model Test
- To evaluate English language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This helps determine eligibility for language support programs.
- 🎙 Interview with the WIDA Coordinator
- A short, student-friendly conversation to understand the applicant’s language background, learning needs, and readiness for English-medium instruction.
- 🧩 CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test)
- A standardized assessment to identify each student’s learning potential and cognitive profile across verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning.
- 🎓 Academic Interview with the Head of Academics
- An informal but insightful discussion to understand the student’s educational experience, motivation, and alignment with Horizon’s academic programs.

📋 4. Admission
Registration & Payment Agreement
Once assessments and interviews are complete:
- The Admissions Team will notify parents of the admission decision
- Upon acceptance, families will be guided through the registration process
- A detailed tuition and fee structure will be shared along with a payment agreement plan

✉️ 5. Enrollment
Confirmation & Acceptance Letter
After completing registration and payment:
- Families will receive an Official Letter of Acceptance
- A Welcome Pack with orientation details, class placement, and school start information will be provided
- The student is officially enrolled at Horizon International School
