CAREER & COLLEGE COUNSELLING

At Horizon International School, the career readiness program begins in grade 9, preparing students for their desired occupational fields. Each grade from 9 to 12 has unique goals: grade 9 explores career options, grade 10 focuses on personal skill development, and grades 11 and 12 emphasize college selection. Students from grades 10 to 12 learn to prepare personal statements, CVs, and persuasive essays for university applications. Horizon prioritizes career readiness equally with other subjects, adhering to a Student-Centered Teaching and Learning approach. We believe in recognizing each student’s unique strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. Our teachers and character education department are equipped to guide students towards beneficial future career choices, adopting a holistic approach for growth in various aspects of their lives. 

The college counselors will consider the students' strengths and interests, providing them with helpful advice. The college counselors understand the criteria students use when selecting a university, choosing their department and major, and then connecting with the university to invite them to deliver speeches and provide one-on-one counseling for students and parents, either online or offline. During these seminars and workshops, students have the opportunity to engage directly with university representatives about scholarships, admission requirements, and other aspects of life abroad.
